WOW! 2 1/2 Years Later! I found Marley's old blog past today and thought, "I need to start blogging again, it's only been 2 1/2 years"! Since my last post we've had a new addition to the Spraggins Family, Mercer who just turned 2... now this explains my long absence!

4 Wheeler

For Christmas Santa brought Marley a battery powered 4 wheeler and she and Shayden have been riding it non-stop! Marley wants Shayden to drive because she doesn't know how to steer yet. It's hilarious to watch because they go on the exact same path EVERY time. Once Zack tried to get Shayden to go a different way and she cried and cried. I love watching the two of them play together and have so much fun!

Christmas 2010- UTAH

This year we celebrated Christmas in Salt Lake City, Utah. My Brother Aaron is station there and he was deployed to Kuwait City, Kuwait in January 2011. We all thought it would be a great idea to spend Christmas with him before he left. Marley enjoyed ALL the snow!!! We went to Parks City one day and went shopping, it is absolutely beautiful there. There was a pub called Flanagan's so we all took our picture in front of it. On Christmas there was a surprise visit from Santa Claus, you can see a picture of him below. He does this for a hobby and happened to be next door. Marley wasn't too excited to see him.

FUN WITH SHAYDEN

Shayden Turns 2-Dallas

Shayden is already 2... I can't believe it! We traveled to Dallas to visit with her for her birthday. We went to the zoo and the stockyards. At the stockyards there was a petting zoo that the girls LOVED! Marley wanted to see all the animals, but was too scared to touch them. Shayden on the other hand wanted to pet them all. The girls had such a great time playing together. We miss you Shayden.

PUMPKIN PATCH

We took Marley to the Pumpkin Patch and had a great time. She enjoyed petting all the animals and playing on the swings and slides. It was perfect outside. There wasn't a ton of people so we were able to walk around and enjoy everything. Marley kept saying "pumpkin pumpkin!"

MARLEY & MACY

I finally caught Marley and Macy! Marley thinks Macy is her pony. It is so funny to see. Macy gives us the look like PLEASE HELP ME. She is a good sport about it. We've gone 3 weeks with NO ear infections..hip hip hooray. Marley's immune system kicked in and fought off her last infection. We also started taking her to a chiropractor which I think helped out tremendously. She can identify just about all the animals, is saying her ABC's, up and down, knows her flash cards and we are working on 1-10 and colors. Sometimes I think she knows her colors and then all of a sudden blue is red... I love every second about being a mother. Each day is a new adventure with her. We have no idea what she is going to say or do next.

Violet Turns 1

Marley has two new buddies... Violet and Lilly! For Violets birthday they set up two pools in the backyard and the kiddo's thought they were in heaven! They splashed and splashed! It was so much fun to watch them interact with each other even though Marley is kind of anti-social...who would have thought!

Unfortunately Marley was sick all last week. Her immune system finally kicked in and fought it off. Since she's been on so many antibiotics I really don't want to give her any more unless I have to.

Her new thing to do is hug Macy, our Beagle, then she slowly puts her leg around her, like a horse, and she will say Getty Up Macy! It is adorable. Except I don't think Macy is enjoying it too much. This is the next challenge...trying to get a photo of this craziness. Marley knows what the camera is so as soon as i get it out, she stops what she is doing as if she knows I am trying capture the moment.

Mommy and Marley- Happy Fourth

Marley went on her first VACATION! We had a blast! My mother moved to Texas so we decided to go and visit. We went to the aquarium, beach, Austin and saw the fireworks display over the ocean- it was beautiful. Marley did pretty good away from home. She didn't sleep well the first few nights, but other than that she had so much fun and had constant attention. She is basically repeating everything now. When we tell her NO... she tells us NO back. It was cute at first but now we are trying to undo the bad habit.

POOL

We has so much fun today watching Marley play in her pool. She was splashing water EVERYWHERE. She would get out and when she tried to get back in she would fall. It took a few times of doing this before she eventually got it down. Shorty came over and got a drink a couple of times. After being outside for thirty minutes we decided to wrap it up, but Marley wasn't ready.... she cried and cried until she fell asleep.

Its been about a month since my last blog. Since then Marley had tubes put in her ears and they seem to be working well. The procedure took about 10 minutes and we could tell she was already feeling better later that day. This past week Marley started saying her ABC's.... we couldn't believe it! She can say A-I. She can basically repeat or try and repeat what you are saying to her. She has been eating like crazy! She loves guacamole, hummas, watermelon and waffles. So far there is nothing that she won't eat- she must get that from her mom.
Its so funny, my mother gave her a baby doll and she will put it in her grocery cart and push it around the house... I guess we need to buy her a stroller.

I took her to Chris's house to swim in the pool and she loved the water. She didn't want to get in her floaty, but as long as I was holding her she was fine. She splashed and splashed. I would put her out to "test"the water and she just kicked and kicked around in the water, it was so adorable!

Okay, it has been forever since my last blog. Since Marley has started daycare, we have ALL been sick. Marley has had an ear infection for almost a month now so we are taking her to see an ENT on Monday. Looks like she may have to get tubes. She can identify her nose, eyes, mouth, hair and belly. She also shakes her head now and says NO. Her new thing is giving a high five. She will put her hand up and giggle with excitement when we ask for one- its the cutest thing. Her favorite snacks are Gerbers yogurt bites... she literally knows the BAG. She will put her hand out and ask for a BITE. Also, her sixth tooth is trying to push through right now. She will have 4 top teeth and 2 on the bottom.
